From my perspective as an experienced trader, the main advantage of Angel One is its wide selection of investment products and modern trading platforms, especially for Indian market participants. I found the Angel One Super App and web trading interface to be intuitive, especially for equity and derivatives trading. The brokerage fees are competitive by Indian standards, with zero brokerage for the first ₹500 traded in the initial 30 days, which may appeal to those testing the platform or with lower trade volumes. The entry barrier is low, since there is no minimum deposit required, and the platform covers key asset classes like stocks, IPOs, derivatives, and mutual funds. However, my primary concern—and this cannot be understated—is Angel One’s complete lack of valid regulation. Despite its visibility and product breadth, it does not hold a legitimate license from SEBI or any credible global body. In my experience, using an unregulated broker considerably increases risk: client protections, fund safety, and transparent dispute resolution are not guaranteed. Furthermore, while brokerage is capped, there are multiple ancillary fees and charges that can add up. For me, trust and regulatory oversight are non-negotiable, so I would approach Angel One with significant caution, using only risk capital and never assuming the security level typical of regulated brokers.
