What stands out for me is that Fulbright’s fee schedule is relatively transparent and tied to a major Hong Kong bank’s published rate. There is less risk of “hidden” overnight charges that I sometimes worry about with less-regulated offshore brokers. Still, the 1.8% markup on the prime rate is a real consideration; depending on market conditions and if you’re active in other regions, you may find brokers elsewhere offer more competitive swaps—especially if you’re trading spot forex. I always weigh the security and regulation of an SFC-licensed broker like Fulbright against any potential marginal differences in swap fees, and for my capital preservation, a modest but predictable rate is often preferable to chasing the lowest headline number at the expense of oversight and transparency.
