This distinction is critical because, from a risk and compliance standpoint, assuming a broker offers trading in certain instruments without clear and upfront confirmation can lead to unexpected restrictions or misunderstandings. For me, it is always a rule to confirm not only regulation and operational history (which with Travelex is quite solid), but also the actual instrument list before making any deposit. In summary, based on what is publicly stated about Travelex’s services, trading instruments such as gold or crude oil do not appear to be supported. As always, I would recommend directly reaching out to their customer support or reviewing platform demos—if available—before making decisions involving specific assets.
