With Travelex, although the name may sound familiar to many for currency exchange, I need to stress that their core offerings are not centered around traditional CFD or spot trading in commodities like gold or oil. Their main focus, as I’ve found, lies in currency services, travel cards, and related financial products. I wasn't able to identify any direct evidence or platform support for trading XAU/USD or crude oil as tradable assets through their Travelex Money App or web platform. The broker’s service descriptions highlight currency and money transfer rather than a broad suite of speculative trading instruments typical of mainstream forex brokers. This distinction is critical because, from a risk and compliance standpoint, assuming a broker offers trading in certain instruments without clear and upfront confirmation can lead to unexpected restrictions or misunderstandings. For me, it is always a rule to confirm not only regulation and operational history (which with Travelex is quite solid), but also the actual instrument list before making any deposit. In summary, based on what is publicly stated about Travelex’s services, trading instruments such as gold or crude oil do not appear to be supported. As always, I would recommend directly reaching out to their customer support or reviewing platform demos—if available—before making decisions involving specific assets.
