Although it has been operating since 1990, it has not obtained a license from any recognized regulatory body, which raises significant concerns for me as a trader. Regulation is one of the most important factors I consider when choosing a broker. A regulated broker is subject to strict rules designed to protect clients and ensure financial security. The absence of regulation means there are no guarantees regarding the security of my funds, transparency in operations, or fair business practices. While Tera Yatırım may be operating legally within Turkey, it is not held accountable by any external entity. This increases the potential risks of fraud or mismanagement, which is why I believe it's crucial to carefully weigh the risks involved when dealing with an unregulated broker.
Tera Yatırım has a high minimum deposit requirement of 50,000 TL (approximately 2,500 USD), which is quite steep compared to many brokers that accept much smaller amounts to open an account. As a trader, I find this high deposit requirement limiting, especially for newer traders or those looking to start with a small initial investment. Personally, I prefer brokers that allow smaller minimum deposits, as this gives me more flexibility and reduces the risk of tying up a large portion of my funds.
In my opinion, the absence of regulation makes Tera Yatırım a risky broker to use. While they may provide some great features, such as a trusted platform and a wide selection of instruments, the fact that they are unregulated makes me cautious. Regulation protects both the trader and the broker by ensuring that all parties operate in a secure and transparent manner. Without this safeguard, I would hesitate to invest significant capital with them. Personally, I would only consider trading with a regulated broker to ensure the protection of my funds and a fair trading environment.
