Rather than having a menu of standardized “account types” like micro, standard, or ECN, Pictet’s structure revolves around customizing solutions for different investment profiles and objectives. For private clients and families, the firm emphasizes long-term wealth preservation, business succession, and multi-generational asset protection. Meanwhile, financial institutions and intermediaries tend to be offered fund access and streamlined servicing solutions, facilitating administration and reporting. Institutional investors are addressed with bespoke strategies and operational support, aiming to meet the complex needs of pension funds and sovereign entities. From what I’ve reviewed, account differences at Pictet result from the client’s category, investment needs, and services required, not from preset tiers with fixed specs. The actual differences—such as eligible products, trading access, or reporting—are driven by whether one is a family office, an external asset manager, or a large institution. In my view, this means greater personalization but also less transparency compared to brokers that list out account features side by side. Ultimately, if you are considering Pictet, a careful, direct discussion about your investment profile and objectives is key, as there’s no universal “account type” grid to compare at a glance.
