In my experience examining Akatsuki as a trader, I have found it challenging to evaluate their suitability for automated strategies such as those using Expert Advisors (EAs). The information made available highlights that Akatsuki operates out of Japan, has a long operational history, and is regulated by the Financial Services Agency (FSA), which, in my view, does add credibility. However, I could not identify any clear mention of a trading platform—such as MetaTrader 4 or 5—which are typically required for running EAs or automated trading systems. Additionally, their product offering seems primarily focused on investment trusts, stocks, and bonds, rather than retail forex or CFD trading, where EAs are most commonly deployed. Without confirmation of a compatible trading platform, I would advise anyone considering automation at Akatsuki to exercise significant caution. For me, the absence of platform details—and the lack of specific support or documentation for automated trading—means I cannot confidently recommend Akatsuki for traders seeking to run EAs. As always, before committing to a broker for automated strategies, I make it a rule to thoroughly verify their platform compatibility, costs, and full support for algorithmic trading. Right now, I do not have enough evidence to conclude that Akatsuki meets these requirements, and I personally would not proceed without direct clarification from the company.
