In my own evaluation as an experienced trader examining Morrison, I found no support for automated trading with Expert Advisors (EAs) on their platforms. Morrison offers a range of sophisticated trading software, including Iress (with Viewpoint, Web, and Pro), TradeCentre, TradeFloor, Refinitiv Eikon, and Bloomberg Terminal. However, these platforms, particularly Iress and TradeCentre, are typically geared toward equity and institutional trading rather than MetaTrader-based forex environments where EAs are commonplace. There is also no mention of MetaTrader 4 or 5, which are the primary platforms for retail EA deployment. From my perspective, this is a crucial distinction: as someone who values automation and algorithmic trading, I would be cautious about Morrison if EAs or similar scripts were essential to my strategy. Their offering seems focused on direct market access and professional tools more than retail automation. While APIs and FIX connectivity are available for custom integrations, using off-the-shelf EAs as found in the MetaTrader ecosystem is not natively supported. For anyone prioritizing automated trading with EAs, this limitation is significant, and I'd advise careful consideration and possibly exploring other brokers that explicitly offer robust support for EA deployment.
