From my personal experience as a trader, I’ve learned the critical importance of understanding exactly what instruments a broker supports before opening an account or depositing funds. When examining Angel One, I noticed that while they offer a broad suite of investment products—such as Indian stocks, IPOs, futures and options on Indian markets, mutual funds, commodities, and even access to certain U.S. equities—they lack access to forex and international asset classes. Crucially for anyone interested in commodities like gold (specifically XAU/USD, the global spot gold forex pair) or crude oil trading, Angel One does not provide forex trading services. Their commodity offerings are typically linked to Indian exchanges, and there’s no indication from their official details or platform lineup that clients can access international spot gold or the widely traded crude oil CFDs found on MT4/MT5 brokers. This is a significant limitation for me. I prefer having access to both Indian and global markets, and especially to internationally referenced gold and oil products, not just Indian commodity derivatives. Additionally, Angel One is not regulated by SEBI or any major international financial authority, which further emphasizes the need for caution. Based on these specifics, for those who, like me, want direct access to popular global commodities like XAU/USD and crude oil, Angel One is not a suitable broker. Always verify the asset list and regulatory status before considering any financial commitment.
