This lack of disclosure is a significant concern for me, especially because clear information about spread behavior is a foundational requirement for effective risk management. Moreover, NatWest Markets is noted as operating without oversight from major regulatory bodies such as the UK’s FCA, which adds a further layer of uncertainty regarding their pricing transparency. In situations of heightened market volatility or during major news releases, unregulated or unclearly regulated brokers often exhibit a tendency for spreads to widen significantly. Without regulatory checks, the reliability of spread execution can be questionable, and the risk of unexpected costs or slippage increases. From my cautious perspective, this means that trading with NatWest Markets could expose me to unpredictable trading conditions, particularly during fast-moving markets. For me, transparent disclosure and strong regulation are essential if I am to trust a broker’s spread policies—neither of which appear well established in this case. I would, therefore, approach NatWest Markets with significant caution, particularly regarding spread consistency and trading during volatile periods.
