Capital Trader charges competitive fees, starting with forex spreads as low as 0.2 pips for major pairs like EUR/USD. For active traders, this can be a huge advantage, as tight spreads reduce overall trading costs. However, the broker also charges a commission for certain instruments, such as $30 per lot for trading precious metals like gold, and $20 per lot for forex trading in micro accounts. These commissions can add up, especially for traders who frequently trade these assets. From my perspective, while the low spread on forex is an attractive feature, the commission on precious metals and forex in micro accounts is on the higher side. If I were to trade these instruments regularly, the costs could quickly become prohibitive. I would also want to carefully assess the total cost of trading, including both spreads and commissions, before committing to a long-term trading strategy with Capital Trader.
