As a long-time trader who carefully vets brokers before depositing a single dollar, I pay close attention to the available funding and withdrawal methods. With Firstrade, my research shows that they primarily support traditional banking methods—ACH transfers (bank linking), domestic and international wire transfers, and checks by mail within the U.S. Notably, Firstrade does not support credit cards, PayPal, Skrill, or any cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals. For me, this is a significant limitation, especially compared to other brokers that offer a wider range of modern electronic payment solutions. The absence of these options can slow down funding speed and make international transactions less convenient or more expensive due to wire fees. While ACH transfers and checks may suffice for U.S.-based investors, international users must rely on bank wires, which trip a $25 fee for both deposits and withdrawals. I see no deposit minimums and no routine withdrawal fees (unless opting for options like expedited check delivery), but for those who value flexibility and speed via digital wallets or crypto, Firstrade simply doesn’t accommodate. For safety’s sake, I only use platforms that clearly outline these details and fit my need for both transparency and funding efficiency.
