In my experience as a trader, assessing DEGUSSA reveals several important points. The primary advantage I observed is their broad offering of precious metals-related services, including gold savings plans, purchase options, secure storage, and wealth services. For someone focused specifically on physical gold and related products, this specialization can be attractive, as it potentially offers convenience and niche expertise. However, there are notable disadvantages that outweigh the positives for me as someone accustomed to regulated, transparent forex brokers. The most critical concern is the complete lack of valid regulation. This absence of oversight significantly elevates the risk involved, especially for anyone considering entrusting them with substantial funds. I am always cautious when there is no clear regulatory body ensuring that customer interests are protected or mediating disputes. This directly impacts my trust and confidence in the broker’s long-term reliability. Additionally, DEGUSSA’s unclear fee structure and the limitation to a single supported language introduce further uncertainty, which can be problematic if issues arise or if I require detailed terms and conditions. For me, such opacity, when combined with unregulated status, is difficult to justify given the many regulated alternatives available that provide both transparency and customer protection. In summary, while DEGUSSA may suit those seeking specific gold-related services and does offer an established presence in Germany, for trading purposes—especially forex—I find the lack of regulation and clarity to present too high a risk for my capital.
