This is sufficient for most independent investors or small partnerships, and the steps align with regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, which I find reassuring from a safety perspective. When I compared this to the process for corporate accounts, it became clear that far more documentation is required—such as certified board resolutions, annual reports, and proof of shareholder structure. This approach is standard within the industry for entities handling larger pools of capital and ensures regulatory transparency. From what I see, while these extra requirements might seem burdensome, they do offer an extra layer of due diligence and can help mitigate certain operational risks that sometimes accompany institutional trading. Another observation from my perspective is that, regardless of account type, Midas does not seem to differentiate in terms of trading product access or basic platform functionality; both individual and corporate clients use the same online and mobile platforms. The fee structures, according to my review, appear to be the same, so the real divergence comes down to compliance and internal authorization. In practice, I believe the extra rigor for corporate accounts could protect the entity, but it does demand more from the client upfront. For individuals like myself, opening and managing an account is streamlined, but it’s worth recognizing that added corporate safeguards are not without their merits—they reflect an industry standard of care.
