Based on my close review and experience analyzing brokers like Motilal Oswal, I have to say that automated trading with Expert Advisors (EAs)—as typically understood for platforms such as MetaTrader 4 or 5—is not available with Motilal Oswal. From what I have observed, the platforms they provide, such as Research 360, TGS, MO API, Stocomo, Riise, and Strategy Builder, are all app-based and focused on discretionary trading rather than supporting third-party automated strategies or custom EA scripts. For me, this is a critical factor when considering a broker, especially since automation and algorithmic trading play large roles in risk management and consistency for many professionals. Moreover, it's important to highlight that Motilal Oswal does not offer forex trading at all, which is often the primary market where EAs are utilized. Their suite of products is more focused on equities, futures, options, mutual funds, and related instruments—none of which, to my knowledge, integrate conventional robot trading or open access to algorithmic plugins. For anyone like myself who relies on EAs or backtested automated systems, this limitation is significant. Given the platform’s lack of regulatory oversight and recent regulatory warnings, I am even more cautious and would not recommend using workaround solutions for automation. Ultimately, if EAs and automated trading are essential to your approach, I believe Motilal Oswal does not meet those technical requirements, and it’s wise to look for alternatives that explicitly offer such functionality on regulated platforms.
