In my personal experience evaluating XSpot Wealth, it appears they claim to offer spreads "from 0.2 pips," but there’s no explicit mention of whether these spreads are fixed or variable. Based on the industry norm for STP (Straight Through Processing) brokers—of which XSpot Wealth is one—I would expect the spreads to be variable. This aligns with how most STP models function, as they pass prices directly from liquidity providers rather than offering a fixed rate. When trading through brokers that offer variable spreads, especially in turbulent market periods like major news releases, it’s common for spreads to widen—sometimes substantially. During these high-volatility periods, liquidity providers adjust pricing rapidly, and this cost is reflected in the variable spreads STP brokers relay to their clients. In my own trading, this has meant preparing for potential spikes in transaction costs if I choose to trade during these moments. Given the reports highlighting withdrawal problems and operational risks, I approach any advertised tight spreads cautiously. Even with attractive spread offerings, cost transparency and reliability matter just as much as headline numbers, and I do not rely solely on marketing claims—especially for high-impact news trading where execution quality is critical. For me, controlling risks in such an environment means double-checking a broker’s real-time execution rather than simply trusting stated minimum spreads.
