ASIC is a well-respected financial authority in Australia, known for its stringent approach to licensing and monitoring financial services providers. This provides a significant level of assurance for me that Instreet is required to adhere to established compliance practices and reporting standards. However, I always look deeper than the regulatory badge. While Instreet is regulated in Australia, I noticed some potential concerns flagged regarding the scope of its business activities and possible risks associated with its operations. Such "suspicious scope of business" cautions are not uncommon in the industry, but they do compel me to proceed very cautiously. Even with regulatory oversight, it’s essential for me to cross-check other aspects like business transparency and the physical presence of the broker, especially since I’ve seen reports noting the absence of an office during physical visits. In summary, Instreet is overseen by ASIC, which is a positive sign. For my personal trading, I always consider regulation a starting point, not the sole decision factor. In this case, while ASIC regulation is present, the high-risk notes and limited transparency on trading conditions would make me vigilant before engaging further with Instreet.
