PH Telecom Offers Free App to Protect Users from Scams
Abstract:Globe Telecom partners with Gogolook to provide free Whoscall Premium Basic, enhancing digital security with caller ID, web checker, and ID security features.

Globe Telecom Inc., the Philippines' major telecommunications operator, has partnered with Gogolook, the inventors of the worldwide known anti-scam software Whoscall, to offer free Whoscall Premium Basic access to its subscribers. This cooperation seeks to improve digital security for individuals who are seeing an increase in online dangers.
The collaboration demonstrates Globe's commitment to protecting its clients from the digital scams and fraud that abound. Globe and Gogolook are equipping customers with cutting-edge solutions to resist online threats efficiently by providing Whoscall Premium Basic for free. Eric Tanbauco, OIC for Globe's Consumer Mobile Business, reiterated this aim in a Monday news release: “At Globe, protecting our clients from cyber dangers is a primary concern. Our collaboration with Gogolook provides our users with an extra layer of protection, providing them with the tools they need to recognize and avoid possible frauds.”

Gogolook's Whoscall brings a bundle of impressive capabilities to the table. Its Caller ID technology rapidly detects incoming calls, distinguishing between real and suspected fraudsters. The Web Checker program examines URLs for security and warns users about harmful links that might compromise their devices or data. Furthermore, the ID Security function monitors the dark web and alerts users if their personal information has been leaked—an important safety in today's scam-filled atmosphere.
With online risks expanding across social media, messaging applications, and other platforms, such safeguards are more important than ever. Mel Migriño, Gogolook Philippines national leader, emphasized the importance of internet safety in today's connected culture. She stated: “Whoscall is a global digital anti-scam application that helps users stay safe online while practicing digital hygiene.”
Globe and Gogolook have streamlined the activation procedure to encourage usage. Globe customers—whether Platinum, Postpaid, or Prepaid—will get an SMS with information on how to activate Whoscall Premium Basic. The app may be redeemed through Globe Rewards or Globe Rewards+ on the GlobeOne app, allowing for easy access to these anti-scam capabilities.
This move not only improves digital security, but also demonstrates Globe's commitment to keeping its consumers secure in an increasingly dangerous online environment.
