Malaysia's race to bring investing into everyday digital platforms has taken a significant turn, with TNG Digital and Webull Malaysia opening access to major overseas stock markets directly through TNG eWallet.
The partnership allows eligible Malaysians to trade shares across the United States, Hong Kong and China A share markets through GOfinance, TNG eWallet's financial services hub. Instead of requiring investors to download another trading application, the Webull Malaysia investment service is embedded within an app already widely used for payments and financial services.
The move could substantially lower the practical barriers separating ordinary Malaysians from international equities. Users can digitally apply for a Webull Malaysia trading account through GOfinance and fund the account using their TNG eWallet balance, subject to eligibility requirements and account approval.
That convenience matters because the potential audience is already considerable. As of August 2026, GOfinance had accumulated 8.5 million financial services users, with more than four million conducting transactions every month. Around 46 percent were using more than one financial services product, highlighting TNG Digital's expanding reach beyond its original payments business.
TNG Digital Chief Financial Services Officer Desmond Teoh said the collaboration was designed to broaden the financial choices available within an application Malaysians already know and use.
Webull Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Chan said eliminating unnecessary friction could be particularly important for first time investors. Account applicants must still complete electronic Know Your Customer verification, but information already held within TNG eWallet can, with the user's consent, be transferred into the Webull account application process. Applications can be submitted rapidly, although approval generally takes between one and three business days.
Investors also gain access to market information, educational materials and charting tools. Eligible United States securities can be traded around the clock on weekdays, extending access beyond conventional American market hours. Separate reporting on the launch said Webull and TNG Digital are targeting greater participation in global markets as investing becomes increasingly integrated with everyday financial applications.
The launch also carries an incentive aimed at attracting new investors. Eligible participants opening their account through the Webull service within TNG eWallet can receive RM30 worth of fractional Apple shares after maintaining a minimum net cumulative deposit of RM200 for 30 days. The campaign is subject to eligibility requirements, terms and a limited reward quota.
For Malaysian investors, however, easier access should not be confused with lower investment risk. Putting Wall Street, Hong Kong and Chinese equities only a few taps away reduces technological barriers, but it does not remove market volatility, foreign exchange exposure or the possibility of capital losses.
