In my opinion, while OWM is legit in the sense that it’s operational and offers a range of trading services, its offshore regulation by the VFSC makes me hesitant about its safety. Offshore regulation usually means weaker supervision, so I would advise being careful with my funds when trading on platforms like OWM.
OWM offers leverage up to 1:1000, which is quite high. Personally, I see high leverage as a double-edged sword—it can amplify potential profits, but it can also increase risk significantly. I would advise using high leverage cautiously and always ensure proper risk management practices are in place.
A significant con, in my view, is that OWM is only offshore regulated by the VFSC. This means that its regulatory oversight is less robust than that of brokers regulated by major authorities. Additionally, OWM doesn’t provide much transparency about its trading conditions, which leaves me uncertain about the potential costs involved in trading on their platform.
OWM provides the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform, which I personally find to be a solid choice. MT4 is well-known for its powerful charting tools and customization options, which I use for both technical analysis and trading strategies. The fact that it’s available on Web, Windows, and mobile devices makes it accessible, which I appreciate.
