Wiki Q&A
Does Velocity Trade charge a commission per lot on their ECN or raw spread accounts?
From my own deep-dive into Velocity Trade, I found that their fee structure is unfortunately not transparent, and this lack of clarity is a recurring concern for me as someone who values knowing all potential costs before committing funds. On other brokers, commission and spread details are usually easy to locate, but with Velocity Trade, I couldn't find straightforward, published information about whether they specifically charge a commission per lot on ECN or raw spread accounts. A few notes from my experience and research: user feedback highlighted that spreads—such as the 3 pips cited on EUR/USD—are wider than industry averages. Such wide spreads sometimes indicate an all-inclusive pricing model with no separate commission, but this is merely a possible inference rather than a declarative fact. The absence of prominent, documented commission rates for ECN or raw accounts makes it impossible for me to confirm their fee structure with confidence. For me, this lack of fee transparency introduced uncertainty and would be a reason to proceed with caution or to directly contact the broker’s support for written confirmation on commissions. When trading under regulated jurisdictions like ASIC or FCA, one expects a higher degree of clarity, but in Velocity’s case, this aspect seems lacking from the available public information. As a conservative trader, I always recommend getting full written fee disclosures before opening any live account.
Is it possible to trade particular assets such as Gold (XAU/USD) and Crude Oil through Velocity Trade?
Based on my experience trading with Velocity Trade and my careful review of their official offering, I find that trading commodities—including gold (XAU/USD) and crude oil—falls within their scope of available instruments. Velocity Trade specifically lists forex, equities, commodities, futures, and fixed income products as tradable assets. In my own practice, when a broker advertises direct access to “commodities,” it almost always includes major contracts like gold and crude oil. However, it’s important to approach such claims with caution and verify the exact instruments offered, as not every commodities broker covers the same range or trading pairs. While I appreciate the breadth of Velocity Trade’s product catalogue, I also notice the platform has some high-risk flags (such as “Suspicious Overrun” and “high potential risk” status), so I always proceed with extra due diligence. Their commodity trading capabilities seem legitimate, but the platform does not support MT4 or MT5—only their self-developed trading app is available. This could impact execution quality or analytical flexibility, which, as a seasoned trader, I consider heavily before allocating significant capital. In summary, yes, Velocity Trade does enable trading in commodities like gold and likely crude oil, but it’s vital to confirm the specific contract specifications directly through their support or by accessing their trading platform. Personally, I would verify these details myself before committing funds, especially given the mixed risk signals noted in their WikiFX profile.
Does Velocity Trade charge any undisclosed fees when it comes to making deposits or withdrawals?
In my experience as a trader examining Velocity Trade, I have found that understanding a broker's fee structure—especially around deposits and withdrawals—is vital for risk management and making informed decisions. With Velocity Trade, one concern for me is the lack of clear, easily accessible information regarding their trading and non-trading fees. User feedback also reflects this, with at least one trader commenting specifically on the absence of transparency about fees charged by the platform. When a broker does not disclose such crucial details, it naturally raises red flags for me, particularly given potential hidden costs that could impact my overall trading profitability. While Velocity Trade is regulated by several authorities such as ASIC, FCA, and FSCA—which should, in theory, promote a degree of reliability—I have learned not to rely solely on regulation as a guarantee of transparent business practices. Personally, I am uncomfortable trading with any broker where the fee schedule, especially for deposits and withdrawals, is either inaccessible or ambiguous. This lack of clarity can result in unexpected charges, which is a risk I prefer to avoid. Until I find absolute confirmation of all applicable fees—preferably from direct support or carefully-read terms—it would be prudent to approach Velocity Trade with caution when it comes to fund transfers. I recommend that anyone considering this broker request all fee details in writing before making any deposits or withdrawals.
Is it possible to use Expert Advisors (EAs) for automated trading on Velocity Trade's platforms?
As an independent forex trader with extensive years navigating broker platforms, I always pay careful attention to the compatibility of automated trading tools like Expert Advisors (EAs). In my experience and evaluation of Velocity Trade, I have to be cautious about automated strategies here. Velocity Trade offers only its own proprietary trading platform and does not support the industry-standard MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 at this time. Since EAs are typically built for MT4 and MT5—where most algorithmic trading infrastructure is concentrated—there is effectively no straightforward path for me to use the EAs I rely on with Velocity Trade. While their self-developed trading app might offer automation features, I found no clear or transparent information about custom scripting, EA integration, or automated order execution similar to what’s available on established MetaTrader platforms. In the forex world, this is a significant consideration for risk management and trading efficiency. Also, without demo account access, I couldn't even test for any workarounds. For me, the lack of EA compatibility combined with unavailable MT4/MT5 access, as well as questions about spread costs and service transparency, compels a conservative approach. If algorithmic trading is essential, I would suggest looking for a platform where EA use is fully supported and regulated under familiar, tested environments. Ultimately, with Velocity Trade, automated trading as I know it isn’t possible.

Velocity Trade does not require any minimum initial deposit to start trading, providing the most popular MT4 trading platform in the world! I really like these two points. But it only supports bank cards and Neteller for deposits and withdrawals.

EUR/USD Spread is too wide! 3 pips! That’s horrible! The industry average is just 1.5 pips, why the spread here is so high? Deposits and withdrawals options are also too limited.
