Based on my research and personal review, I found it challenging to determine the total trading costs for indices like the US100 when using Travelex. Travelex is primarily known for its currency exchange, travel cards, and travel insurance rather than as a standard forex or CFD broker. Their platforms—the Travelex Money App and their website—focus on currency products and travel money solutions. During my due diligence, I couldn’t find any evidence that they offer leveraged index trading such as US100 or similar CFDs that are commonly available with mainstream online brokers. Instead, their fee structure is clearly laid out for travel-related money services and prepaid cards. There are fees for certain types of top-ups and currency conversions, a monthly inactivity fee, and various transaction charges—these are not the same as spreads, commissions, or swaps you’d encounter with index trading platforms. This aligns with feedback from other users, who also highlighted Travelex’s strengths in currency exchange rather than in active trading or financial markets speculation. In my experience, if you are specifically seeking to trade indices like the US100, Travelex may not provide the products or the transparent cost breakdown you’d expect from a traditional forex or CFD broker. I would advise verifying directly with Travelex’s customer service before committing any funds, as product offerings and costs may not match the expectations of active traders. It’s critical to fully understand service limitations before making any financial decisions.
