From my own experience and careful review, TradeStation primarily offers its own suite of proprietary trading platforms, which include TradeStation Desktop, a web-based platform, and mobile apps for both iOS and Android. The desktop platform stands out for its advanced features, deep charting tools, and high degree of customization, particularly using their EasyLanguage scripting language, which can be advantageous for traders who wish to develop and automate strategies from scratch. The web and mobile versions mirror much of this functionality in a more accessible format, which I have found essential when monitoring trades away from my primary workstation. For those trading futures options, TradeStation provides FuturesPlus—tailored for visualizing and managing complex futures strategies—and TS Crypto for users interested in digital assets. These platforms, in my direct experience, offer a seamless cross-device environment, but they are built in-house and are quite different from what MetaTrader users might expect. Importantly, TradeStation does not support MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), or cTrader. This is a significant distinction if, like me, you’ve grown accustomed to the robust ecosystem of third-party tools and custom indicators provided by MT4/MT5 or cTrader brokers. For any trader considering TradeStation, it is crucial to be comfortable transitioning to their proprietary environment or to ensure your trading style is compatible with what their platforms offer before committing real funds.
