As an experienced trader, caution is something I always prioritize, especially when evaluating lesser-known platforms. In my research on BOOM, I found a few aspects that are both reassuring and some that warrant prudence. On the positive side, BOOM has been operating since 1997 and is regulated by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, under license number AEF808. For me, regulation by a reputable body like the SFC lends BOOM a certain degree of legitimacy, as the SFC is known for its oversight and investor protection standards. However, despite this regulatory status, there are elements I cannot overlook. Notably, several users have raised concerns about the firm’s online presence, including difficulty accessing the website at times and some confusion around licensing details. Additionally, BOOM’s risk index for management stands at zero according to third-party evaluations, and there are references to a "suspicious scope of business" and “high potential risk.” This combination calls for a healthy dose of skepticism, especially when considering the safety of funds. I personally value transparent fee structures and access to global markets, both of which BOOM offers. Still, I remain conservative, favoring brokers with widely recognized platforms and a consistent, clear track record of security. For me, BOOM is legitimate in the sense that it is licensed, but given the mixed user experiences and noted risk indicators, I would approach it with caution and would not rely solely on SFC regulation as a guarantee of absolute safety.
