From my assessment of CMF’s offerings, I did not find specific information regarding whether they provide fixed or variable spreads. Their primary business scope is rooted in commodity and financial futures brokerage, more so than forex CFDs, and their platform suite is tailored to the futures environment with dedicated software such as Bo Yi Master Cloud Trading Edition and several proprietary apps. In my experience, futures brokers in regulated Chinese markets generally operate differently from typical global forex brokers; direct spread models are less often the focus, as trading costs can also be deeply influenced by exchange-set parameters and commission structures. One point I’m particularly cautious about is how trade execution quality and cost transparency can shift during periods of heightened market volatility—especially with major news events. Traditionally, in such environments, variable spreads can widen considerably or market liquidity can dry up altogether, leading to slippage. Since CMF is regulated by CFFEX, there is some security in oversight, but market-driven spreads or price gaps remain an inherent risk during volatile events, regardless of the brokerage. Without explicit disclosure from CMF on fixed or variable spread models, I approach trading around economic releases or turbulent sessions with increased vigilance, always bearing in mind that even with regulatory safeguards, futures trading carries significant risk and cost unpredictability during unstable periods. For me, conducting further due diligence or consulting directly with CMF’s support before trading around news events is an essential precaution.
