Based on my own experience as a forex trader who prioritizes regulatory oversight and platform transparency, I always assess brokers according to their available asset classes. With Tokai Tokyo, after carefully reviewing their offering, I found that while they are a well-established and FSA-regulated Japanese broker—with over 15 years in operation—their platform is focused strictly on domestic stocks, Japanese investment trusts, government bond funds, money market funds, and both domestic and foreign bonds. Notably, they do not list commodities, indices, or cryptocurrencies among their tradable assets. For someone like me looking to trade gold (XAU/USD) or crude oil, this is a decisive limitation. These specific commodity instruments are absent from Tokai Tokyo's lineup, making the platform unsuitable for my commodity trading needs. I try to avoid making assumptions about future product expansions, and as of now, their service offering is clearly geared towards traditional securities rather than commodities. This is important from a risk and suitability perspective; I only consider brokers whose regulated product scope matches my trading objectives. It’s worth emphasizing the importance of periodically verifying asset availability directly, as platforms may update offerings, but currently, Tokai Tokyo does not provide access to gold or crude oil trading.
