Based on my in-depth review of SAMCO, I wasn’t able to find any explicit information about inactivity fees in their publicly available materials. As a trader with a strong focus on risk and regulatory safety, I treat the absence of clear statements about inactivity or account maintenance fees as a yellow flag, rather than assuming there are none. SAMCO’s official information details trading and account opening costs quite transparently—such as the flat ₹20 per order, or low percentage rates for equity delivery and intraday trades—but it omits specifics regarding charges for dormant accounts. The lack of regulation is also a serious concern for me, as it reduces transparency and recourse, especially in areas like unexpected fees. For these reasons, I always advise verifying directly with SAMCO’s customer support before opening or leaving an account inactive. Even experienced traders like myself approach brokers without trustworthy licensing and comprehensive fee disclosures very cautiously. Unanticipated inactivity fees can erode capital over time, so I would never make assumptions; checking the current policy in writing is, in my view, a responsible step for anyone considering or currently holding a SAMCO account.
