From my own review as a long-term trader, I found that UTRADE does not explicitly support MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5, which are the industry standards for running Expert Advisors (EAs) and automated trading strategies. Instead, UTRADE provides its own self-developed platforms, namely WebTrader and the UTRADE Mobile App, focusing more on equities, ETFs, options, futures, and similar instruments—rather than forex or commodities. Because EAs are primarily designed for MT4 and MT5, these capabilities are typically unavailable on proprietary trading platforms like those offered by UTRADE. My experience tells me that when a broker does not support MT4/MT5, the likelihood of full EA integration is very low, unless they specifically market advanced API access or provide in-house automation tools, which does not appear to be the case here. This is especially important given UTRADE’s regulatory framework in Hong Kong, where platform stability and compliance are prioritized, sometimes at the expense of more experimental or high-frequency automation features. As someone keen on transparency and risk management, I would caution traders who rely on automated strategies that UTRADE’s platforms likely do not support the traditional EA workflow. This doesn't make UTRADE an illegitimate choice, but for EA users, it may not meet specific automation needs and expectations.
