Based on my thorough review of LME as a trading provider, I must start by noting that LME does not offer forex trading at all, let alone any leverage for major forex pairs. In my experience, this is a substantial departure from what most traders expect from providers labeled as “brokers.” LME’s entire focus is on metals—specifically non-ferrous, ferrous, EV, and precious metals—rather than forex, indices, stocks, or cryptocurrencies. This restriction means there is no information available on leverage for forex, as those markets simply are not part of their offerings. Furthermore, the lack of regulatory oversight is a major concern for me; from a risk management perspective, trading with providers that operate without valid regulatory licenses brings significant danger. The available trading platforms—LMEselect, open outcry, and telephone trading—are also quite specialized and do not support common tools like MT4 or MT5, which typically include leverage transparency. In summary, if you’re evaluating LME with leverage in mind, particularly for forex or even other asset classes, it’s important to recognize that their products do not extend beyond physical and derivative metals contracts. For me personally, the combination of unregulated status, limited asset variety, and lack of common platform support make LME unsuitable for my trading needs, especially if leverage flexibility is required.
