From my hands-on experience with TradeStation, it’s clear that they focus their offerings primarily on traditional financial assets. When I opened and explored my account, I was able to access and trade a wide range of instruments—namely stocks, options, futures, futures options, ETFs, and mutual funds. These choices gave me decent breadth for constructing diversified portfolios or testing various strategies across asset classes like equities and derivatives. However, as a forex trader, I was disappointed to find that TradeStation does not provide access to spot forex, nor does it offer commodities, indices, bonds, or mainstream cryptocurrency pairs for regular trading within its core brokerage services. While TradeStation does mention a TS Crypto platform for digital asset trading, my assessment is that its primary platforms and account types do not integrate forex or typical commodity contracts, which could be a significant limitation for those seeking broad multi-asset exposure. In brief, if your trading strategies require direct access to currencies, major global indices, or commodities, TradeStation’s product range currently does not meet those needs. For traders focused on stocks, options, and futures, however, their tools and market coverage are robust. My personal takeaway is that understanding exactly what you can and cannot trade here is fundamental to avoiding mismatched expectations and ensuring the broker fits your specific trading goals.
