While I think AM Broker is a solid broker overall, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed. One of the main issues for me is the regional restrictions. AM Broker doesn’t accept clients from the United States, Australia, Mainland China, or Hong Kong, which could be limiting for some traders. I understand that regulatory requirements may play a part in these restrictions, but it does limit the broker’s accessibility to a global audience. Another potential downside is the leverage limit of 30:1. As someone who occasionally looks for higher leverage in certain market conditions, I find this restriction somewhat limiting. Higher leverage allows traders to maximize their exposure with a smaller capital investment, and while it increases risk, it can be an essential tool for some strategies. AM Broker’s 30:1 leverage may not appeal to traders who prefer more risk exposure. Lastly, the fact that AM Broker does not support MT5 is another consideration. While MT4 is a fantastic platform, MT5 offers more advanced features and tools for experienced traders, and not having access to it might be a dealbreaker for some of them. Overall, while these cons may affect a few traders, I still think AM Broker offers solid value for many traders like myself, especially with its competitive fees and wide range of market instruments.
