In my experience navigating brokerage options, clarity about tradable instruments is fundamentally important. When I evaluated Univest Securities, I noted that their focus appears to rest on traditional financial services like investment banking, capital markets advisory, sales and trading, and wealth management. The descriptions suggest their main client base is small- and mid-cap companies, and the services outlined—such as mergers and acquisitions advisory, private placements, and public offerings—reflect this emphasis. However, based strictly on the available information, I was unable to verify any explicit mention of access to typical retail trading instruments such as forex, indices, commodities, or cryptocurrencies. While "sales and trading" is referenced, there is a lack of transparency about the specific asset classes available to individual or institutional account holders. Unlike many familiar retail brokers, Univest Securities does not present a clear list of product offerings, which I find makes it difficult to assess the range of instruments available with certainty. Given the absence of regulatory oversight and detailed product information, my approach is to assume a very cautious stance. For me, this uncertainty means I would be hesitant to assume access to typical retail trading products like forex or crypto until I could confirm it through more direct, authoritative sources. In summary, while brokerage services are offered, I have not seen clear evidence that Univest Securities currently supports direct trading in the broad range of instruments—such as stocks, forex, indices, commodities, or cryptocurrencies—that many traders expect. For my own trading strategy, this lack of transparency is a significant consideration.
