With Point72, I see several factors worth considering. The firm has over 15 years in the industry and operates under recognized Hong Kong SFC regulation, which does provide a baseline of credibility and oversight. Their focus is primarily on futures contracts and sophisticated investment strategies, and they only cater to professional investors who meet strict regulatory criteria. This restricts accessibility and suggests that Point72 is not the typical retail forex brokerage. However, my due diligence highlights some concerns. There are user reports about withdrawal issues and incidents involving impersonation and scam claims—although these seem related to third-party platforms or fraudulent clones rather than direct operations of Point72 itself. This points to the importance of verifying you're dealing with the legitimate entity. Additionally, critical information for retail traders is missing, such as account types, fee structures, and direct customer support channels, making it difficult to assess everyday accessibility and transparency. Based on my experience, I’d say that while the regulatory status and company longevity are positives, the limited transparency and mixed user experiences mean I would exercise extreme caution. I would not treat Point72 as a typical trading broker for individual traders and would only consider them if I fit their professional client profile and performed thorough, independent verification and risk assessment.
