WikiFX Golden Insight Award uniting industry forces to build a safe and healthy forex ecosystem, driving industry innovation and sustainable development, launches a new feature series — “Voices of the Golden Insight Awards Jury.” Through in-depth conversations with distinguished judges, this series explores the evolving landscape of the forex industry and the shared mission to promote innovation, ethics, and sustainability.
This interview features David Bily, CEO of Moneta Markets, a global CFD brokerage established in 2019. With over 25 years of experience in financial services, David has held senior roles at Vantage FX, specialising in forex, equities, and CFD trading. Under his leadership, Moneta Markets has grown to serve over 100,000 traders worldwide, offering innovative, transparent, and award-winning trading solutions. David holds an MBA in Marketing, a Master of Economics, and a Diploma of Business, combining academic expertise with proven industry leadership.
Q1: In the highly competitive global forex industry, how has Moneta Markets won client trust and differentiated itself from competitors through innovative products or services?
David Bily:Trust starts with execution, transparency, and support. We built a modern stack around deep multi-provider liquidity, low-latency infrastructure, and clear pricing so clients know exactly what they are paying. On platforms, we pair MT4 and MT5 with our TradingView-powered AppTrader and ProTrader for improved charting and trading on desktop and mobile. We also invest in local-language support, and region-specific funding options. Finally, our governance framework, segregation of client funds with approved institutions, and disciplined risk controls give clients confidence that we run the business for the long term.
Q2: Since its establishment in 2019, Moneta Markets has grown rapidly and now serves over 100,000 traders worldwide. What do you believe are the core factors driving the brands rapid growth?
David Bily:Three things. First, an extensive range of products, low trading costs, intuitive platforms, clean onboarding, and funding that just works. Second, compelling pricing and consistent fill quality, supported by robust liquidity. Third, service, education, and localisation. We hire locally, speak our clients language, and invest in ongoing education so traders can progress with us.
Q3: Where in the current forex market do you think information asymmetry is most likely to happen? And what has your company done to improve transparency?
David Bily:Asymmetry often appears in unclear pricing, opaque execution, and vague T&Cs. We address this with published spreads, swaps, and fee schedules, plain-English disclosures, and in-app cost previews where possible. We monitor execution quality, slippage, and rejection rates, and we review provider performance continuously. Education is at another level. We segment content by experience level, highlight common risks, and promote risk management tools such as position sizing and alerts.
Q4: What do you think will be the most significant trends in the forex industry over the next three to five years? How is Moneta Markets planning at the technological and product levels to embrace and lead this trend?
David Bily:Three trends stand out. First, platform convergence around chart-first, mobile-native experiences with richer analytics and automation. Second, higher expectations for transparency and fair dealing, supported by better data and auditability. Third, tailored education and safeguards that meet clients where they are. Our roadmap focuses on faster charting and order workflows, expanded analytics, API and signal integrations, stronger execution telemetry, and more personalisation in education and risk tooling.
Q5: How should forex brokers integrate the concept of “Sustainable Development” into their actual operations?
David Bily:Start with governance, client outcomes, and operational footprint. That means robust risk controls, responsible product governance, and honest marketing. It also means investing in learning resources that reduce harmful behaviour, and running efficient, cloud-optimised infrastructure. Paperless onboarding, reduced data centre waste, and vendor due diligence all matter. Sustainable businesses look after clients, staff, and counterparties while managing risk prudently.
Q1: As a new judge for the “WikiFX Golden Insight Award”, what kind of traders (or industry professionals) do you most hope to see stand out and receive recognition?
David Bily: People who raise standards. That includes traders and professionals who share verifiable insights, teach sound risk practices, document results with integrity, and contribute tools or research that others can use. I also value leaders who improve inclusion and education in under-served regions.
Q2: In your view, can the “WikiFX Golden Insight Award” enhance transparency and credibility in the forex industry, thereby safeguarding investors?
David Bily: Yes, provided the award criteria remain public, evidence-based, and consistently applied. Recognising behaviours such as clear cost disclosure, fair dispute handling, and robust risk education creates positive incentives and makes it easier for clients to identify trustworthy providers.
Q3: Given that there are already numerous awards within the industry, what do you think is the biggest difference between the “WikiFX Golden Insight Award” and other awards? What was it about the Golden Insight Award that made you want to become one of the expert judges?
David Bily:The emphasis on insight and measurable impact. Many awards focus on scale or popularity. Golden Insight highlights research quality, transparency, and client outcomes. The structure aligns with what I value most, which is raising the bar with evidence and useful ideas.
Q4: How do you see the WikiFX Golden Insight Award shaping the future of a healthier forex industry?
David Bily: By rewarding proof over promises. If the award consistently spotlights verifiable execution data, clear disclosures, and meaningful education, it nudges the market toward higher standards. Over time, that reduces harmful practices and improves client retention for the best actors.
Q5: As an expert judge for the Golden Insight Award, what are your expectations and suggestions for the participants?
David Bily:Document everything. Provide data on execution, costs, education reach, and client outcomes where appropriate. Cite sources, disclose limitations, and explain methodology in plain English. Avoid hype. Show how your work helps traders make better decisions and manage risk.
Q1:What role do you think WikiFX’s products and services play in enhancing industry transparency and standardisation?
David Bily: They act as an information bridge. Broker profiles, regulatory checks, and structured reviews help traders compare providers on comparable terms. When platforms aggregate disclosures and surface red flags, it encourages standardised reporting and clearer communication across the industry.
Q2:What value do you think WikiFXs products and services provide in assisting investors with secure trading and risk control?
David Bily:Two kinds of value. Pre-trade, by helping people verify a brokers status, track record, and costs before opening an account. Post-trade, by educating on practical risk controls and by providing channels to raise issues. Better information and faster verification reduce avoidable mistakes and improve long-term outcomes.
