As an experienced trader who has reviewed ChaoShang’s offerings in depth, I can share my direct analysis. ChaoShang positions itself as a Hong Kong-based brokerage with over five years of operation and regulation by the SFC. However, based on my assessment of their disclosed product range, the platform is limited to securities, futures, and options trading. Notably, they do not explicitly extend their list of supported assets to include spot forex pairs, commodities, indices, cryptocurrencies, bonds, or ETFs. This is important because, in my own trading practice, whenever I’m looking to access popular commodities like Gold (XAU/USD) or Crude Oil, I always verify whether the broker’s product scope lists them. After examining ChaoShang’s available market types, I see no indication that either gold or oil CFDs or spot instruments are available. While certain futures-related products may technically provide indirect access to commodity price exposure, there’s no direct mention of commodity futures (such as gold or crude oil contracts) being offered. Given the lack of clarity and the possibility of a “suspicious scope of business” flagged in the broker’s risk profile, I proceed cautiously. Unless ChaoShang updates their instrument list to explicitly include commodities, I cannot recommend them for those specifically seeking to trade Gold (XAU/USD) or Crude Oil. For my own portfolio, I would look elsewhere when my strategy requires direct commodity trading access.
