From my perspective as a veteran trader who prioritizes security and regulatory compliance, I approach Abbott Futures with significant caution. While the company has a long history, having been founded in 1966 in the United States, that alone does not offset the risks highlighted in my research. The most pressing concern for me is their regulatory status: Abbott Futures is currently associated with a suspicious clone license under the National Futures Association (NFA). This designation is a major red flag since a clone license suggests that the regulatory approval may not be authentic or properly maintained, which is a fundamental risk for any client funds or positions. Additionally, Abbott Futures lacks transparency around critical areas such as account types, trading fees, available trading platforms, and minimum deposit requirements. The absence of a demo account further limits my ability to assess their service standards or risk management practices firsthand. I also noted that they only offer global commodities trading, with no access to forex, indices, stocks, or other popular instruments—making their offering narrow compared to peers. A crucial point is the disclosure that Abbott Futures was fined by the NFA and ordered to pay substantial restitution, raising further questions about their business conduct. When so many key details remain unclear and regulatory legitimacy is in doubt, I cannot recommend this broker or consider it wholly legitimate or safe. For me, it is imperative to seek out brokers that are fully and transparently regulated to safeguard my capital.
