From my experience, EAs require a specific level of platform support for custom scripting and automation, but KGI Asia’s platforms are proprietary: they offer mobile and web-based trading (KGI Asia Power Trader, WebTrade, eFO SP/SO Online) designed for stocks, futures, and options, rather than the forex-focused and EA-compatible software that’s commonplace elsewhere. This design likely serves to prioritize security, regulatory compliance, and user-friendliness, especially since KGI Asia is regulated by Hong Kong's SFC and targets multi-asset trading rather than speculative forex markets. For traders like myself who value the hands-off efficiency and systematic approach that EAs provide, this is a notable limitation. I also take into account that KGI Asia does not provide CFD or forex trading, which are the main arena for EAs and algorithmic strategies. Instead, the broker seems better suited to investors seeking direct access to equities, bonds, and derivatives, with a more manual approach to trade management. In sum, KGI Asia does not support automated trading through EAs.
