As someone who has researched Daman Securities in detail, I have found that their standard account, referred to as the "DM classic," advertises spreads starting from 1.2 pips on EUR/USD. In my experience trading with multiple brokers, spreads at this level are considered reasonably competitive for a standard account—especially among brokers serving retail clients. However, what stands out to me is the lack of regulatory oversight at Daman Securities, which, in my view, raises considerable concerns regarding transparency and the consistency of such trading conditions. Why is this important? From my professional standpoint, actual spreads can often deviate from stated minimums, especially at unregulated firms, and the absence of clear supervision means that traders may face wider spreads during volatile periods, unexpected fees, or other trading disadvantages. While 1.2 pips might seem attractive on the surface, I'd urge anyone—myself included—to approach such offers cautiously, particularly when the broker is not subject to recognized regulatory standards. In the world of forex trading, trust and reliability are as crucial as headline numbers. For me, I would always weigh the quoted spread against the broker's overall risk profile and regulatory standing before making any trading or funding decisions.
