With PNB, several elements have prompted a cautious stance on my part. Firstly, I could not overlook that PNB operates without regulation from Philippine agencies like the SEC or BSP, nor any recognized international financial authority. In my extensive trading journey, I have learned that a lack of regulatory oversight increases potential risks considerably—customer recourse in the face of disputes can be rather limited. From a practical standpoint, PNB positions itself primarily as a bank, offering a broad suite of traditional financial products, including investment accounts and a digital banking app. My experience with their digital platform has revealed a focus on general banking rather than dedicated online trading functionality. While I haven't encountered outright technical downtime, their platform simply is not specialized for the kind of real-time execution, analytical tools, or transparency that active forex traders require. The absence of vital features such as leverage details or spread information reinforces my sense that this is not a platform equipped for competitive forex trading. In terms of customer service, PNB does provide multiple contact options—phone, email, and social media—which is a positive. However, I found their responses to be more aligned with routine banking inquiries than the nuanced, time-sensitive support that active markets often necessitate. Whenever complex or technical trading questions arose, resolution was significantly slower compared to regulated, market-focused brokers I have dealt with previously. In summary, my priority remains security and broker accountability; with PNB's lack of regulation and limited trading infrastructure, I proceed with heightened caution.
