In my experience with LIGHT FX, the platform choices are somewhat specialized compared to global brokers. LIGHT FX provides its own proprietary trading platforms: the LIGHT FX App for mobile trading, as well as browser-based options called Simple Trader and Advanced Trader. These platforms cover the basics for executing trades and managing risk, suitable for various levels of experience. However, it's important to note that LIGHT FX does not support MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), or cTrader. For me, this limitation is significant, as I rely heavily on advanced charting and algorithmic capabilities typically offered by MT4 and MT5. Some traders prioritize standardized platforms for their familiarity and broad community support, and the absence of these could be a drawback if you depend on custom indicators, automated strategies, or third-party integrations. That said, I've found LIGHT FX's proprietary solutions adequate for manual trading, especially if your approach doesn't require complex automation or specialized analytics. While they ensure regulated, straightforward access to forex and cryptocurrency markets, you should carefully consider your platform needs before committing, particularly if MT4, MT5, or cTrader is a must-have for your trading style. This is why I always test a broker’s platforms with small funds first to ensure they meet my particular requirements.
