The Financial markets Authority (FMA) is a New Zealand government agency responsible for enforcing securities, financial reporting and company law as they apply to financial services and securities markets. The FMA also regulates securities exchanges, financial advisers and brokers, auditors, trustees and issuers - including issuers of KiwiSaver and superannuation schemes. It jointly oversees designated settlement systems in New Zealand, with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ). FMA is a member of New Zealand’s Council of Financial Regulators.

22 August 2024 Express Trade Market – Suspected scam, unreasonably withholding client funds SHARE THIS Express Trade Market and its associated websites have the hallmarks of a scam, in particular they: unreasonably withhold client funds; charge unreasonably large fees and taxes; misuse the registration details of a New Zealand company, Minted Holdings Newtown Limited (NZBN: 9429032552996), that is not associated with them; and display suspected false client testimonials on their website(s). We are aware of an investor who has invested with Express Trade Market after meeting a person on social media. They required the investor to pay unreasonably large fees and taxes before they would process withdrawal requests. Even after the fees and taxes were paid, no funds were released. We recommend caution when dealing with Express Trade Market and its associated websites.
