Abstract:The FCA says wealth-db.co.uk is a clone of DB UK Bank Limited. Compare the fake contact details, genuine FRN, website, and seven checks before paying.

Quick answer: The Financial Conduct Authority published a warning on 21 August 2026 for wealth-db.co.uk. It says the site is a clone pretending to be connected to DB UK Bank Limited, an authorised firm that has no connection with the clone.
The domain is the first warning sign. The FCA lists wealth-db.co.uk as the clone name and gives a telephone number and email used by the fraudsters.
The genuine record is different. The regulator names DB UK Bank Limited, Firm Reference Number 140848, at 21 Moorfields in London, and lists www.db.com as the real website.
| Detail | Clone warning | Genuine firm listed by FCA |
| Name | wealth-db.co.uk | DB UK Bank Limited |
| Website | wealth-db.co.uk | www.db.com |
| Telephone | 020805802143 | +44 20 7545 8000 |
| Firm Reference Number | May be copied or invented | 140848 |
| Connection | None | Authorised FCA firm |
Clones mix real and false data. They may copy a legal name, office address, logo, or Firm Reference Number, then replace the phone, email, website, and payment account.
That is enough to fool a quick search. A professional page or a correct FRN does not prove the person contacting you works for the authorised firm.
Break the contact chain. Close the message, type the FCA address yourself, and search the live Warning List and Firm Checker without using links supplied by the caller.
Then call back safely. Use the phone number displayed by the regulator, not a number in the email, website, advertisement, or incoming call history.
Independent verification is essential because authorisation applies to a specific legal entity, regulated activity, and communications channel. Visual credibility is not regulatory evidence.
Verification is a procedural safeguard. Authorisation, permissions, communication channels, and compensation eligibility must be examined independently before any financial commitment.
The FCA warning is direct. If you deal with the clone, you would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service for a complaint. You would also lose Financial Services Compensation Scheme protection if things go wrong.
Do not stretch that statement. FSCS coverage for a genuine product still depends on the firm, activity, and circumstances; the key point is that the clone is outside the authorised relationship.
Act now. Contact your bank or payment provider, ask about a recall or fraud process, and protect any account or identity document that may have been exposed.
Keep the evidence. Save bank records, emails, message exports, screenshots, phone numbers, website addresses, documents, and the exact time of each contact before reporting the approach to the FCA and police channels.
Identity exposure can create operational, legal, and financial consequences even when no investment payment was completed. Notify the relevant institutions promptly.
No. The FCA says it is a clone firm pretending to be connected to an authorised business.
The FCA names DB UK Bank Limited, Firm Reference Number 140848, and lists www.db.com as its website.
No. Clone firms can copy real FRNs. Always call back through the contact details shown by the FCA.
