When trading GBP/USD, the slippage is usually minimal, and market orders are generally executed at the price I see. However, during the Bank of England's interest rate announcements, noticeable slippage occurs. My orders were filled 1.5 pips lower—not a huge amount, but still quite painful. Customer service explained that this is 'normal for major news events' and that other platforms face the same issue. Still, I hope to keep this under better control.
